M. Nonius Sufenas, 59 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 4.00 g, 4 h), Rome. SVFENAS S•C Head of Saturn to right; behind, harpa and conical stone. Rev. [PR•L]•V•P•F• / SEX•NONI Roma seated left on pile of arms, holding scepter in her right hand and sword in her left; behind, Victory standing left, crowning Roma with wreath held in her right hand and holding palm frond in her left. Babelon (Nonia) 1. Crawford 421/1. RBW 1517. Sydenham 885. Attractively toned. A few minor scratches on the reverse edge, otherwise, good very fine.
